J’pura Flames, the Official Media Grid of USJ has had an extraordinary journey since its inception in the year 2013. Upon the request of the sports council of USJ to promote the upcoming events in SLUG 2013, a team of ordinary USJ undergraduates but extraordinary in their spiritedness to promote the university got together to launch a website named “Japura Gindara”.
This team was none other than Nilendra Sarachchandra, Wathsala Karunathilaka, Harith Kosala, Rajindu Prabashwara, Punsara Jayatissa, Charitha Pahasarani, Charith Madushanka, Thivanka Perera, Anjula Jayathunga and Kaveen Muhandiramge. Shortly afterwards, the website was renamed as J’pura Flames as per the idea of Rajindu Prabashwara.
J’pura Flames was in the hearts of USJ undergraduates in no time.
